SVA #2

I managed to get hold of an SVA manual [real must this!!] it reduces the pain if you know what's coming.
Pilgrim supply an SVA kit.

08:30 Test 7/1/02.
Minimal sleep, up at 5:00 double, triple check the check list.
3 layers to protect from the cold [no soft top yet]
8 mile run with no events just loads of rubber neckers.
Once at the centre I stop in the car park and apply a few more parts of my SVA kit.

  • Blutack washer nozzel cover. -
  • Sidepipe ends                         .

  • Plastic trim to sidepipe edges.

Deep breath.... in I go.

The inspector greets me and introduces his colleague a Quality Inspector... . .  Groan I know what that means,

Two and a half hours of very close scrutiny and .   .    .       .

I got a fail, this is what it looks like, I can't tell you how it feels!

Oh well, all the main stuff - Brakes, steering etc were OK. It's just a load of fluffy stuff mainly in the cockpit and quite easy to fix.
Ah yes I also need to prove the engine age and the speedo was not working properly.
