First frosts likely Deciduous trees will drop leaves progressively and this will accelerate with frost and wind. Remove dead leaves at least once a week as they provide a perfect environment for all sorts of bugs. While there is likely to be sufficient rainfall and air moisture take care to monitor on sunny days and water as necessary. We can get very wet winters which should be OK as long as drainage is good and the tree healthy. Watch out for water logging as if prolonged this is likely to lead to root rot. Tie down any trees that could be blown over by high wind. |
