- Buy loads of disposable rubber gloves. - It's a real pain to get off your
hands!!
- Get some cheap brushes, cut half the bristle off, these then make good
stipple brushes, [gets the air out of the mat].
- When making inner wing blanks, make up 3 layers of mat
If you make it up on a smooth board [I used hardboard, trace the shape with
marker pen. The ink is absorbed into the resin and gives a clear trim line
should the panel enlarge while stippling]]
Remove while still green [ not fully cured], you can then bend it into shape.
- If the panel is set hard you can flex it by applying some heat, a hair
dryer should be enough.
- Check the panel after a few hours, any drips etc can easily be trimmed
while the GRP has not fully cured hard.
